Local public health agency participants and their partners through-out western North Carolina collaborated on the My Reason WNC campaign, which featured community members sharing their motivations for why they received the COVID vaccine and/or practiced COVID prevention measures.
Through this work, we created infrastructure, relationships, process, funding streams, and capacity to do high quality health communications in a way that was measurable, effective, and sustainable in rural communities – for COVID-19, and eventually other key health issues.

The My Reason WNC Partner Toolkit was available to hospitals, institutes of higher education, community organizations, and anyone who was interested in participating in the regional campaign.
It also included a spreadsheet of links to free templates to create social media graphics, flyers, and more – as well as videos and sample social media copy in English and Spanish.
