Mountain DEEP (Data Equity and Engagement Partners) is a regional collaboration convened by WNC Health Network to advance health equity across Western North Carolina by embedding equity throughout the data lifecycle.

Representing and serving communities that include Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI), and LGBTQIA+ populations, Mountain DEEP includes partners such as ABIPA, Campaign for Southern Equality, EBCI Public Health and Human Services, and UNETE.

In a time of decreasing access to vital information and data, Mountain DEEP strengthens community power and trust by protecting, generating, and communicating data in equitable and culturally responsive ways, even in the face of restrictions on resources and intensifying systemic challenges.
